Boko Haram's attempts to disturb Johnathan's presidency

This video explains the ethnic conflicts that surround Nigerian politics. Dr. Madu implies that the presence of Boko Haram is not a result of religious oppression , but rather ethnic tension. He argues that Boko Haram is provoking violence to disturb Nigeria's security and evoke havoc. President Goodluck Johnathan's  is a native to the South and of a different ethnic tribe. Nigeria's poor development has resulted in many of its citizens lacking simple social benefits and as mentioned before, the wealth in the country is unevenly distributed. The citizens from underrepresented regions lack resources because they do not have a sufficient number of representatives in the government. Dr. Madu argues that the North however has never been underrepresented and that the lack of resources is not due to under-representation but a lack of good governance from the previous leaders. He insists that Boko Haram is deliberately choosing to to not only oppose the Nigerian National government but more specifically the leadership of a dissimilar ethnic tribe found with the new President Goodluck Johnathan.
